It’s been one year since we opened our doors at Budokai Judo Club in North York and we’re celebrating by offering two new classes in martial arts.

We’ve always offered a variety of martial arts instruction to children and adults of all ages to the Greater Toronto area, and for our anniversary celebration, we’re now adding Kinder Judo for kids 4-5 years of age and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for both children and adults to our roster.

Martial arts offers training that goes well beyond practising a competitive sport – although we do focus on the competitive aspect too if you want to progress to that level. For children in particular though, it can be the ticket to better balance and general physical conditioning along with increased self-confidence.

Bullying and Judo
Bullying is a big issue nowadays and Judo and other martial arts can give children the skills and the confidence they need to deal effectively with bullies. That’s why we’re very pleased to be adding Judo for kids as young as 4 to our roster. Our child-friendly instructors understand how children learn and develop and adapt the world of Judo and martial arts for the younger set. We bring children, both boys and girls, together in a supportive environment to learn skills that will help them to develop physically, mentally and socially. We truly believe that Kinder Judo offers a host of benefits – and they’ll have fun while they’re at it!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling and ground fighting and uses a system of leverage and specialized techniques that allow a smaller, weaker person to successfully defend themselves and control a larger and stronger opponent. Budokai Judo Club is now offering BJJ classes for adults and children in this exciting martial art that are sure to help develop confidence in facing the challenges of everyday life. No matter what your size, a steady diet of Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) can help you become the strong, confident person you want to present to the world.

Help us celebrate our first year of success in giving professional quality Judo and martial arts instruction to students in the North York and Toronto area by checking out our courses and by dropping by on Saturday September 22nd at 2:00 p.m. to meet our instructors and to learn more. We’d be happy to discuss the various types of martial arts training we offer so we can find the right one for you.
